Step Aerobics was developed in the late 1980's and remains one of the most popular group exercise classes to this day. It's a great cardiovascular workout to music which will help to increase your aerobic endurance and has fantastic fat burning benefits. It will also tone and shape the lower body and is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. A step class can either be athletic and more challenging or tailored to suit a beginner. By altering the intensity of the class and changing the step height from 4 to 10 inches the class can be adapted to suit your individual needs. Additionally, step can be choreographed using a variety of step patterns on and off of the step which will challenge your mind as well as your body.
